Our Approach
Our ArtStart focus is on building the creative digital capacity of socially isolated and at-risk young people from Western Sydney – supporting them to build on their skills and technical capacities, and sustaining a framework for them to use and apply them in their own lives, spaces and creative projects.
Digital Mediums taught include film, recording, graphic design and urban music. Our program involves six projects and 55 young people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

About this Project?
Active Flickz was a nine week intensive film workshop held in Parramatta. Particpants learnt to script, shoot and edit a short film in groups of three under the gudiance of award winning filmmaker Fadia Abboud.
A total of 5 short films, each 7 minutes in length, were made as a result of these workshops, all of which were screened at our live festival 'The pARTy 07'.
