ArtStreet Art Workshops were created to provide young people in the Blue Mtns
with a pathway to a career in art. Final artworks will be exhibited in the 2010
This project was inspired by the need for more opportunities for young people to express their creativity and make their mark within their community. Art Street is an exhibition of local artists displayed in Katoomba shop windows for two weeks during the Winter Magic Festival. Out of 64 entries only a few were from young people in 2009. The art workshops have provided a space to learn new skills, share ideas and create a pathway into a career in the arts. You will be able to check out their work in the 2010 ArtStreet exhibition held in June.
