Brett with Breakthru
Tuggerah

Visual art, Object art, Indigenous art

The artist lent his studio to 15 amazing students, used paint techniques & Aboriginal symbols on Umbrellas, before leading them down the Catwalk. Inspiring!

This project was inspired by Breakthru, an outstanding organisation for YP of various disabilities. It seeks to train their clients in different skills so as to assist with employment and social interaction. Though often encouraged to express themselves through artistic ventures, the YP had little experience of fabric design and indigenous icons and concepts.
