ArtStart NSW Youth Arts and Skills Festival: It's on again

It's on again! Young people in New South Wales are poised to make their creative mark during the 2011 ArtStart NSW Youth Arts and Skills Festival. The Festival will take place in 23 regions across the state and at www.artstart.com.au from 23 September to 07 October 2011.
In April, ArtStart coordinators attended a great workshop about using social media in youth art programs facilitated by Joy Suliman from Thinkspace at the Power House Museum. Joy has very generously provided notes, links and other materials for everyone to follow up and read more.

We are pleased to announce that the applications for funding to coordinate activities associated with the ArtStart 2010 - 2011 NSW Youth Arts and Skills program
The new ArtStart website featuring this year's festival higlights will be unveiled this weekend to kick off the ArtStart 2009 NSW Youth Arts and Skills festival.
ArtStart coordinators, art facilitators and participants are invited to contribute ideas and content to this year’s ArtStart state wide online festival.

Over a 150 projects are underway, including digital storytelling, hip hop dance and self devised performance as ArtStart gears up to the festival fortnight, beginning on 27 September 2009.
IMPRESS YOURSELF, the illustration created by Matt Huynh, an emerging artist and comic creator from Canley Vale NSW, has been selected as the new campaign image for ArtStart 2009.
